Working ImageWorking Image provides clothing for women and girls in need. We don’t just build wardrobes, we help rebuild lives. Established in 1999, Working Image serves Jefferson, Kitsap and Clallam Counties and is the only program of its kind on the greater Olympic Peninsula. When we began, we focused on dressing women for work. But over the years, we have expanded our program to also serve women who have survived domestic violence, natural disasters, or are homeless. Most recently, we have reached out to a more diverse population including female veterans who are returning to civilian life and women undergoing devastating and costly cancer treatment. These women don’t need business suits – they need clothes to meet life’s challenges.

“After my mastectomy, I never thought I could feel so good about the way I looked. I left with clothes that were not only comfortable, but colorful. Thank you, Working Image.” Jane Doe, client

Working Image is an all-volunteer organization. Approximately 30 volunteers continue to focus on client needs, outreach, fundraising, managing inventory and grant writing.

The volunteers at Working Image took time to personalize my style. I felt they were involved with my needs and invested in helping me feel and look my best. I have gained confidence through today’s visit and feel feel that I now look decent enough to gain employment. I have warm clothes and will not freeze!

Both of my personal shoppers were amazing and they made it so much fun! I have lost so much recently and have clothes again makes me feel so much better and has helped boost my self-confidence so much. Who knew that two people you don’t know can help you feel so much better about yourself. These ladies are fantastic!

Martha and Valerie (volunteer dressers) went all out to me so many cool and appropriate things! I feel like a lady again and that means so much! Open hearts, generous spirits, a true blessing. I hope this goes nationwide, if it has not. Somebody, QUICK CALL OPRAH!
